Dr. Beaumier is an alumnus of Northern Michigan University in Marquette, and most recently served as director of orthopedic evaluation at Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic. He was also an associate professor of orthopedic surgery at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine.
The center, which is a historical museum and educational facility, will be moved from its current location to a newly constructed facility.
