The 24,000-sqaure-foot facility is set to open in early July and will be distilling whiskey, vodka, gin and rum, as well as small batches of craft beer and bottled wine.
Dr. Dugas is a partner in the Andrew Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center and serves on the board of trustees at the American Baseball Foundation, as well as the American Sports Medicine Institute.
He serves as medical director for USA Cheer, associate medical director for WWE and is on the National Concussion Task Force for the prevention of concussions in youth sports. He has been named one of Birmingham’s best doctors for eight consecutive years.
A native of Schenectady, N.Y., Dr. Dugas earned his medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, N.C., and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
