David Volgas, MD, and Lindsey Bravin, MD, joined the practice and plan to do surgeries including joint replacements, the report said. Ther clinic also does general orthopedics, sports medicine and arthroplasty.
“We understand access to specialists can be an issue, and we want to take that burden away of people having to travel long distances,” Jami Blackwell, director of trauma services at CoxHealth, said in the report. “With the new hospital opening after the first of the year that will feature expanded surgical suites and the latest technology, the time was right to expand orthopedic care to this growing community.”
