Campbell Clinic ups security at offices

Memphis, Tenn.-based Campbell Clinic has reopened most of its offices two days after one of its surgeons was fatally shot at the practice’s Collierville location.

All offices except the Collierville location resumed operations, a spokesperson said in a July 13 email to Becker’s. Additional security measures and patrols have been implemented at all locations. Local law enforcement were also tapped to increase patrols near Campbell Clinic’s locations.

Collierville police are investigating the fatal shooting of hand surgeon Benjamin Mauck, MD. He was killed in an exam room, and a suspect is in custody.
