Cabell Huntington Hospital completes its 1st outpatient TJR: 3 notes

Cabell Huntington (W.Va.) Hospital’s Mary H. Hodges Joint Replacement Center performed its first outpatient total joint replacement, according to a WOWKTV 13 report.

Here are three notes:

 

1. The outpatient procedure was a total knee replacement.

 

2. Ali Oliashirazi, MD, director of the Mary H. Hodges Joint Replacement Program at Cabell Huntington Hospital, said this was the team’s first total joint on an outpatient basis.

 

3. The joint replacement program at Cabell Huntington Hospital has received the Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission for quality in hip and knee replacement.
