Bioretec taps Harvard orthopedic surgeon for advisory board

Orthopedic implant company Bioretec has appointed Christopher DiGiovanni, MD, to its scientific advisory board, according to a Sept. 4 system news release. 

Dr. DiGiovanni is a professor of orthopedic surgery at Harvard Medical School and chief emeritus of foot and ankle services at Massachusetts General Hospital, both in Boston. He has published more than 250 articles, edited five medical textbooks and co-founded the MGH Foot & Ankle Research and Innovation Lab, according to the release. 

Bioretec said Dr. DiGiovanni’s expertise in foot and ankle surgery and orthopedic innovation will help guide the development and commercialization of its Activa and RemeOs implant platforms.
