Phoenix-based Banner Health’s Wyoming Medical Center in Casper plans to reopen its east campus in January 2026 as a specialty hospital for orthopedic care.

The $6 million renovation includes four upgraded operating rooms, 37 inpatient beds, full imaging and lab services and a walk-in clinic, according to a Nov. 18 system news release

It will be the first hospital in Wyoming to install Stryker’s latest surgical lighting system, which has been implemented at only seven other facilities worldwide. A Rosa knee system for robotic-assisted joint replacement will also be housed at the campus.

Surgeons from Casper Orthopedics will perform procedures at the facility, which aims to consolidate imaging, testing and surgery in one location. The site also includes community partners, such as Casper Medical Imaging, Outpatient Radiology and Precision Surgical.

The first surgical case is expected in early 2026, according to the release.
