Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester, Va., and Riverside Tappahannock (Va.) Hospital received the designation as part of the Blue Distinction Specialty Care program. They were selected for demonstrating excellence in total knee and hip replacement surgeries.
At least two other facilities gained the distinction in February:
- Mount Pleasant-based McLaren Central Michigan
- Morgantown, W.Va.-based Mon Health Medical Center (Blue Distinction Center+)
