After 34 years, Dr. Kuldeep Sidhu retires: 5 things to know

After a 34 year-long career, orthopedic surgeon Kuldeep Sidhu, MD, is retiring, the Tracy Press reports.

Here’s what you should know.

 

1. Dr. Sidhu has gradually decreased his workload over the last few years in preparation for his retirement.

 

2. His career began when he earned his medical degree from the Government Medical College Patiala in Punjab, India. He completed an internship and a residency at New York’s Coney Island Hospital before teaching orthopedics at the medical center for a year.

 

3. Dr. Sidhu focused primarily on reconstructive hip and knee surgery.

 

4. Frank De Mayo, MD, will take over the practice full time. Dr. De Mayo joined the practice in 1998.

 

5. Dr. Sidhu will spend his retirement with his family and at the golf course next to his home.
