Henry Schein completes majority acquisition of TriMed

Henry Schein completed its acquisition of majority interest in TriMed, an orthopedic devicemaker, according to an April 4 news release.

Plans for the acquisition were announced in December. The move pushes Henry Schein, a dental medtech company, into the orthopedic space.

TriMed had 2023 net sales of about $52 million, and the company develops products for the lower and upper extremities. David Medoff, TriMed’s chief commercial officer, and Robert Medoff, MD, medical advisor, will remain part of the company’s management team.
