The system can be used for both anatomic and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty, simplifying the operating room flow by including fewer steps for conversion and fewer instruments, according to a Feb. 13 news release from the company.

The device is designed to restore range of motion, decrease arthritic shoulder pain and improve stability.

The Aetos Shoulder System received FDA 510(k) clearance in June.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
