Jeffrey Giuliani, MD, operated on D.C. United midfielder Pedro Santos, the team said March 24.
Mr. Santos had an arthroscopic surgery to remove an osteochondral fragment in his left knee, according to a news release. He was injured during a March 18 game.
Dr. Giuliani is the team's orthopedic surgeon and works with Fairfax, Va.-based Inova Sports Medicine. Mr. Santos is expected to be sidelined for two to three weeks.
