Mark Davis, MD, performed the first robotic-assisted knee replacement surgery at Kingman (Ariz.) Regional Medical Center using Zimmer Biomet's Rosa device, according to a March 8 report from The Buzz.
Rosa helps surgeons to precisely align the foot or knee while placing an implant for a patient. Rosa offers live simulation, live feedback and dynamic patient data while procedures are in progress.
It also includes anatomic implants to match the shape and size of every different patient. Dr. Davis and his team completed extensive training to use the Rosa tool.
