Mr. Xhekaj suffered an injury to his right shoulder during a fight in a game on Feb. 12 and has not played since.

The surgery will take place in Denver with Dr. Millett, who specializes in shoulder surgery and sports medicine. He is also a consultant for the National Hockey League Players’ Association and Major League Baseball Players’ Association.

This is the second Montreal Canadien Dr. Millett will operate on this season, after he also performed surgery on Cole Caufield’s right shoulder on Feb. 1.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
