Founded by Matthew Heinrich, MD, and Robert Josey, MD, in 2004, the group has grown to include eight physicians, three offices and two ASCs, according to a June 12 Growth Orthopedics news release.
“We see tremendous opportunities to further expand how we care for the Austin community, including investment in infrastructure, additional locations and recruiting new medical providers,” said Mary Jo Blackmon, practice administrator of Orthopaedic Specialists of Austin.
Growth Orthopedics aims to help independent orthopedic practices maintain their autonomy and provide growth opportunities in an increasingly competitive market. The MSO is seeking partnerships with more groups to create regional Centers of Excellence.
