Dr. Rajiv Rajani to chair Texas Tech orthopedics department

Orthopedic surgeon and orthopedic oncologist Rajiv Rajani, MD, has been appointed chair of orthopedics at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, according to the El Paso Herald-Post.

Dr. Rajani specializes in the treatment of metastatic bone disease, total joint replacements, hip and knee reconstruction, as well as the diagnosis and management of bone and soft tissue tumors.

"I see myself as a resource for primary care physicians, oncologists and orthopedic surgeons who desire more specialized care for their patients," Dr. Rajani told the publication. "As the department chair, I'm focused on building a fantastic team and putting them in the best place to succeed."

He will see patients at Texas Tech Physicians of El Paso and teach medical students and orthopedic residents at the Health Sciences Center.
