5 Loyola physicians listed as ‘Top Orthopedic Doctors’

Chicago Magazine listed five Maywood, Ill.-based Loyola University Medical Center orthopedic surgeons as 2018 “Top Orthopedic Doctors.”

The orthopedic surgeons are:

1. Michael Bednar, MD, who specializes in hand and wrist injuries as well as carpal tunnel syndrome.

2. Terry Light, MD, who specializes in adult and pediatric hand injuries and reconstruction.

3. William Hopkinson, MD, who specializes in hip injuries and replacement, total joint replacement and joint arthritis of the knee.

4. Pietro Tonio, MD, who specializes in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, tears and repairs, acetabular reconstruction, shoulder and knee arthroscopy and elbow injuries.

5. Karen Wu, MD, who specializes in complex joint replacement, revision and total hip and knee replacement and unicompartmental knee replacement.
