5 key notes on new AOFAS President Dr. Mark Easley

The American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society has named Mark E. Easley, MD, president.

Here are five key notes:

 

1. Dr. Easley is an associate professor of orthopedic surgery at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. He also serves as one of the directors of the Duke Foot and Ankle Fellowship Program.

 

2.  He previously served on AOFAS committee and as an AOFAS program chair.

 

3. He has been recognized by the American Orthopaedic Association as an American-British-Canadian Traveling Fellow.

 

4. In addition to leading the AOFAS, Dr. Easley will also serve on the board of directors of the Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Foundation.

 

5. He completed a foot and ankle fellowship training at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.
