Dr. Todd Ritzman named orthopedic surgery chair at Akron Children’s Hospital

Akron (Ohio) Children’s Hospital has appointed Todd Ritzman, MD, chair of the department of orthopedic surgery, Tribune Chronicle reported Aug. 17.

Three things to know:

1. Dr. Ritzman also serves as director of the hospital’s spine program.

2. He completed an orthopedic residency at Cleveland Clinic and a pediatric orthopedics and scoliosis fellowship at San Diego Children’s Hospital.

3. Dr. Ritzman is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and the American Orthopedic Association.
