4 orthopedic surgeons on the move in July

Here are four orthopedic surgeons who joined new health systems and practices, or entered into new leadership roles in July, as reported by Becker’s.

  1. Rick Wright, MD, was named president of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
  2. Piedmont Orthopedics and OrthoAtlanta added Marc Wahlquist, MD, to their team of surgeons.
  3. Julia Katarincic, MD, was appointed president of East Providence, R.I.-based University Orthopedics.
  4. Iowa City-based University of Iowa Health Care appointed Brian Wolf, MD, chair and department executive officer of its department of orthopedics and rehabilitation.
