Richard Iorio, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York City.
In addition, Dr. Iorio serves as chief of the Adult Reconstructive Surgery division and is the Dr. William and Susan Jaffe Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Iorio is also chairman of the research committee of The Hip Society and the health policy and advocacy committee of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. He is a member of The Knee Society and the
American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Iorio has had research published in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research and the Journal of Arthroplasty.
After graduating from Harvard University and earning his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Iorio completed his residency at Philadelphia-based Hahnemann University Hospital. He underwent
post-doctoral fellowship training at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center’s Hip and Knee Service.
