Dr. DiGiovanni is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and an active member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. He has received the Order of Merit from the Orthopedic Research and Education Foundation for distinguished philanthropy. His clinical interests include diabetes and charcot arthropathy, fractures, sprains, dislocations, sports injuries, minimally invasive and arthroscopic surgical techniques and arthritis and joint replacement surgery. He is currently on the managerial board of Foot and Ankle International, and he sits on the international editorial board of the European Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. DiGiovanni earned his medical degree from the now ended Brown University-Dartmouth Medical School Program. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Brown University. He has completed a number of fellowships, including one in joint replacement and reconstruction at Weill Cornell Medical College/Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. He was also a traveling fellow with American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
