1. SurgCenter Development began its outpatient joint replacement program in 2013.
2. In 2016, the organization performed almost 7,000 joint replacements at 79 centers in 19 states.
3. More than 96 percent of those cases in 2016 involved patients discharged the same day.
4. Of the 2016 cases, 94 percent of hip and 99 percent of knee patients went home the same day.
5. SurgCenter Development reported an average recovery of four hours.
