John Garrett, MD, established Resurgens Orthopaedics in 1986 and became one of seven physician groups to merge in 1999 under the Resurgens Orthopaedics name. The practice now includes 21 offices in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
John Gleason, MD, and Doug Lundy, MD, are currently co-presidents of the practice, which includes 96 physicians focused on joint replacement, sports medicine, spine, extremities care, orthopedic trauma and pain management. In June, 14 Resurgens physicians received the Castle Connolly Top Doctors recognition.
The practice includes several clinic locations, seven surgery centers and charitable foundation. Resurgens partners with United Surgical Partners International for its surgery centers.
