Physicians: How much of their compensation is tied to value?

When asked how much of their compensation is tied to value — quality and cost of care provided — physicians reported the following, according to Physicians Practice’s 2014 Physician Compensation Survey:

•    None — 65.3 percent
•    1 to 5 percent — 8.2 percent
•    6 to 10 percent — 5.2 percent
•    11 to 25 percent — 4.5 percent
•    26 to 50 percent — 5 percent
•    More than 50 percent — 11.8 percent

 

The survey includes responses from 1,338 physicians.
