OrthoIndy in 2026: 5 updates

Indianapolis-based OrthoIndy has had a strong start to 2026 with new leadership moves and growing relationships within the state.

Five things to know:

1. Indianapolis-based OrthoIndy and Mishawaka, Ind.-based Franciscan Health on Jan. 13 opened a joint venture surgery center in West Lafayette, Ind.

2. Indianapolis-based OrthoIndy appointed Caroline Jarrell as chief information officer.

3. Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Indiana has partnered with Indianapolis-based OrthoIndy and Franciscan Health’s Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics in Carmel to create a narrow orthopedic network that the insurer says can cut costs for joint replacement and other orthopedic procedures by up to 50%.

4. Indianapolis-based OrthoIndy earned a $250,000 grant to its OrthoIndy Foundation YMCA in Pike Township.

5. Gregory Poulter, MD, a spine surgeon at Indianapolis-based OrthoIndy, debuted Surgical Theater’s newly cleared SyncAR Spine platform.
