The rooms were added to support growing demand for care and bring the center’s total to 20 dedicated operating rooms, according to an April 13 news release shared with Becker’s. The extra operating space is more than 180,000 square feet.
NorthShore Orthopaedic & Spine Institute performs more orthopedic and spine surgeries than any hospital in Illinois. Its operating rooms are equipped with robotic and computer-assisted surgical technology, the release said.
