Athens (Ga.) Orthopedic Clinic opened an urgent care center at its Lake Oconee Campus in Greensboro, Ga.

The facility is the region’s first and only orthopedic urgent care center, according to a Feb. 4 news release from AOC.

“The Lake Oconee community is growing, and it’s our job to expand services to support the growth,” CEO Mike Boblitz said in the release. “From athletic injuries to everyday orthopedic issues, our aim is to ensure the community has local access to the wide range of orthopedic experts with the ability to simply walk in anytime.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
