Mount Sinai Medical Center bolsters orthopedics program

The Columbia University division of orthopedics at Mount Sinai Medical Center was established in November, South Florida Hospital News reports.

Physicians in the program specialize in foot and ankle, hand and upper extremity, shoulder, knee and sports medicine. 

Ettore Vulcano, MD, was appointed chief of the program. He is a foot and ankle surgeon with expertise in limb-lengthening and limb realignment surgery.

The program also includes Stephanie Shim, MD, a hand and upper extremity surgeon, and Danica Vance, MD, who specializes in sports medicine.
