Iowa hospital to bring back orthopedics – 3 details

UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa, will resume orthopedic services in the city, according to The Messenger.

Three things to know:

1. UnityPoint’s orthopedic clinic has been closed since November 8, 2018.

2. The hospital is partnering with Center for Neurosciences, Orthopaedics & Spine PC — an independent physician group headquartered in Dakota Dunes, S.D. — to treat patients of Fort Dodge again. Richard Lawton, MD, will provide care at the hospital one day per week.

3. A start date is will be announced once credentialing is complete.
