Here are five things to know:

1. The PQRS’ March 11 deadline is the same as the deadline for Meaningful Use attestation.

2. If a provider fails to attest, they can face penalties up to 6 percent.

3. CMS will reduce Medicare reimbursement by at least 2 percent for those who fail to report to PQRS. Providers will lose an additional 2 percent if they do not attest to meaningful use.

4. For 2017, those who do not report to PQRS may face another payment adjustment between 2 percent and 4 percent due to the CMS value-based modifier program for 2017.

5. The hard submission deadline is 8 p.m. ET on March 11, 2016.
