Lake Mary, Va.-based Raytheon Foreground Security comissioned the report, which surveyed 1,784 information security leaders from 19 countries.
Here are three things to know:
1. The survey also found two-thirds of businesses don’t engage a security vendor or managed security services provider until after a cybersecurity attack.
2. Alison Kidd, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Raytheon Foreground Security, said only 10 percent of the healthcare industry budget is used towards IT security, despite healthcare being one of the most attacked industries in 2015.
3. Ms. Kidd recommended healthcare organizations model their cybersecurity system on the human immune system, meaning organizations need to search for threat indicators while simultaneously remembering the already destroyed infections.
