Where should physicians practice? WalletHub compared all 50 states and Washington, D.C. in its “2016’s Best and Worst States for Doctors” report, to offer physicians insight into the pros and cons of practicing in each state.

Here is a snapshot of the report, listing the states with the lowest competition and the states with the highest competition. The report analyzed the projected percentage of physicians per 1,000 residents by 2022, offering a prediction of future competition.
