Emanuel Medical Center to close orthopedic clinic: 3 things to know

Emanuel Medical Center will be closing its orthopedic clinic in Turlock, Calif., according to a Turlock Journal report.

Here are three things to know:

 

1. Emanuel Medical Center was unable to find a replacement for Peter Rinaldi, DO, the sole surgeon providing care at the clinic, who is leaving.

 

2. The clinic’s patients have been notified of the pending closure and were provided a list of four other orthopedic surgeons in Turlock.

 

3. This is the second clinic that EMC has been forced to shut down because of a physician shortage.
