Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group, OBERD partner for registries, data collection & PQRS reporting — 4 observations

The Colorado Springs (Colo.) Orthopaedic Group selected Columbia-based OBERD for registries, patient outcomes data collection and PQRS reporting to CMS.

Here are four observations:

 

1. The group will use OBERD’s Quality Clinical Data Registry to report PQRS measures to CMS.

 

2. Ali Hussam, PhD, and Bill Plummer, PhD, OBERD’s CEO and chief scientist, respectively, founded the company in 2009.

 

3. OBERD has been collecting patient outcomes data in orthopedics for over five years, and it includes more than 6 million scored forms, from over 1.5 million patients, in its database.

 

4. Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group has 18 physicians and is one of the largest orthopedic group in Southern Colorado.
