Cleveland Clinic, Select Medical open 2nd rehabilitation hospital: 5 points

Cleveland Clinic and Select Medical opened a second rehabilitation hospital in Beachwood, Ohio.

Here are five points:

 

1. Cleveland Clinical Rehabilitation, Beachwood is a 60-bed acute inpatient hospital treating patients affected by stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, amputation, neurological disorders and orthopedic conditions.

 

2. The Beachwood hospital is the second medical rehabilitation hospital to open under the joint venture between Cleveland Clinic and Select Medical.

 

3. The joint venture is focused on enhancing inpatient rehabilitation services in the area and improving access to care for patients with complex rehabilitation needs.

 

4. The two partnered in the past, opening Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation Hospital, Avon (Ohio) in December 2015.

 

5. In November 2017, the two plan to open a third rehabilitation hospital in Bath, Ohio.
