Here are five things to know about that app, Santa Monica, Calif.-based Heal:
1. Heal offers in-house physician visits for a $99 fee throughout California. The physicians are paid to see around 15 patients per day and the company includes around 12 full time physicians. It plans to expand to around 30 physicians by January 2017.
2. Tull Investment Group, the company led by Legendary Pictures Chief Executive Thomas Tull, led the funding for this round.
3. Heal plans to use the funding to grow services beyond California as well as improve software. The company hopes automating administrative tasks will streamline services and allow it to provide care cheaper and more effectively.

• Hashtag One
• March Capital Partners
• Slow Ventures
5. In total, Heal has raised $40 million.
