Appalachian Orthopedics adds patient lifestyle program

Johnson City, Tenn.-based Appalachian Orthopedics is the first practice in the state to offer the Prescribe FIT virtual health coaching program, according to a Jan. 2 news release.

The practice launched the program in 2024, and participating patients lost a combined 1,500 lbs. The program supports orthopedic patients with virtual coaching and offers a more personalized approach to care.

Prescribe FIT includes weekly guidance from nutrition, exercise and goal setting.
