Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Center earns approval for vacant mall slot

Birmingham, Ala.-based Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Center has earned unanimous city council approval to renovate a former department store space in Homewood, Ala., according to an April 29 report from Fox affiliate WBRC.

The former Brookwood Village shopping center has been vacant for a year, according to the report. 

Andrews Sports Medicine is planning to take up 18% of the vacant facility, which totals 750,754 square feet.

There is currently no timeline on renovations or developments for the project.
