Here are three things to know about Ms. Hackett:
1. During her 14-year tenure as CEO, she has overseen a staff of 250 employees, an annual budget of $60 million and the opening of AAOS’ orthopedic headquarters in Rosemont, Ill.
2. Prior to joining AAOS, she served as the COO and executive vice president of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
3. She has received various awards for her work at AAOS. In 2009, she received the Association Forum of Chicagoland’s Samuel B. Shapiro Award, which recognizes CEOs for accomplishments in association management. In 2011, she was inducted into the Orlando-based University of Central Florida College of Business Hall of Fame and received an Alumni Achievement Award from Romeoville, Ill.-based Lewis University.
The search firm Korn Ferry will lead the AAOS board of directors in their search for a new CEO.
