Demand for surgeries is driving the expansion, with more than 8,400 operations performed in Jupiter’s 14 ORs annually.

The 90,000-square-foot facility will feature 16 smart ORs and two hybrid ORs.

Jupiter needs to raise at least $45 million for the surgical institute, which it will use as a “recruitment tool” to bring in more physicians to perform surgeries.

The hospital hopes to open the facility in 2023.
