Indianapolis-based OrthoIndy is collaborating with WeShare Health to give the nonprofit healthcare-sharing organization’s members across Central Indiana access to the orthopedic practice’s services and specialists.
Providers in WeShare Health’s network receive payment for eligible medical expenses in less than 14 days, faster than most traditional insurers, according to a Sept. 15 news release.
The collaboration comes as WeShare Health grows its Indianapolis presence among individuals, families and small businesses seeking an alternative to employer-sponsored insurance and ACA marketplace plans.
WeShare Health, a nonprofit healthcare-sharing organization, has served more than 100,000 members and shared more than $50 million in medical expenses. Its members have access to a national network of more than 1.2 million physicians at 30% to 60% less than comparable traditional insurance.
OrthoIndy has more than 100 physicians specializing in bone, joint, spine and muscle care. WeShare Health is also expanding its Indianapolis provider network to include additional physicians, specialists, clinics and health systems.
