1. Penrose-St. Francis Health Services in Colorado Springs, Colo., planned to begin construction on a $150 million hospital that will focus on spine and orthopedic care, according to a Dec. 28 report.
2. Orlando, Fla.-based UCF Lake Nona Medical Center in Orlando, a $175 million facility with inpatient and outpatient spine and orthopedic surgery, opened March 1.
3. Akron, Ohio-based Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center plans to open a $100 million hospital for orthopedic, reconstructive and plastic surgery in the fall, according to a March 9 report.
