4 Statistics on Physician Pay Tied to Patient Satisfaction

A majority of physicians report that little or none of their pay is tied specifically to patient satisfaction, according to 2013 Physician Compensation Survey released by Physicians Practice.

The survey includes responses from nearly 1,500 physicians.

 

When asked how much of their pay was tied to patient satisfaction, respondents reported the following:

 

•    None — 76 percent
•    Up to 5 percent — 11.1 percent
•    Between 6 and 10 percent — 5.8 percent
•    Between 11 and 25 percent — 7.1 percent
