Orthofix launches bioactive bone graft for spine fusions

Orthofix’s Opus BA bioactive strip was fully launched for cervical and lumbar spinal fusion, the devicemaker said Feb. 22.

Opus BA is a synthetic bioactive bone graft that acts as a scaffold to allow bone growth, according to a news release. The implant is then reabsorbed and replaced with natural bone.

Last year, Orthofix launched its Opus MG bone void filler and FiberFUSE strip.
