NanoFUSE Biologics appoints Dr. Alok Sharan to scientific advisory board

Alok Sharan, MD, was recently appointed to the scientific advisory board at NanoFUSE Biologics.

Four things to know:

1. NanoFUSE Biologics is a bioactive glass designed for use in combination with demineralized bone matrix.

2. Dr. Sharan is co-director of the Westmed Spine Center in Yonkers, N.Y., and deputy editor of Clinical Spine Surgery.

3. He focuses on minimally invasive and cervical spine surgery. He completed his 100th successful awake spinal fusion procedure in July.

4. Dr. Sharan earned a master’s degree in healthcare management from Hanover, N.H.-based Dartmouth College in 2015.
