Former Stryker president joins board of regenerative medicine company

Timothy Scannell, former president and COO at Stryker, was added to the board of directors at Collagen Matrix.

At Stryker, Mr. Scannell oversaw commercial business and global regions, according to a Jan. 31 news release. He also served roles in Stryker’s spine and biotech divisions. He stepped down as president and COO in October 2021 after 31 years with Stryker.

“[Mr. Scannell] joins Collagen Matrix at an exciting time as we continue to accelerate our growth strategy and further our vision of improving patient lives through innovative regenerative devices,” Shawn McCarthy, Collagen Matrix president and CEO, said in a news release.

Collagen Matrix develops collagen-based medical products for tissue and bone repair and regeneration. It was founded in 1997 and is based in Oakland, N.J.
