The move comes after ChitogenX completed its preclinical arthroscopic surgery program, according to a news release.
The new development program is being funded by a $750,000 grant from Axelys. Under the program, ChitogenX’s proprietary arthroscopic repair procedure will be tested on 22 sheep.
The first surgeries will begin in November.
