Atreon Orthopedics expands indications for Rotium bioabsorbable wick

Atreon Orthopedics earned expanded FDA 510(k) clearance for its Rotium bioreabsorbable wick, according to a March 6 news release.

The implant is now indicated for all tendon repairs including Achilles, triceps, patellar quadricep and gluteus medius surgery. It can also be used in various foot and ankle surgeries.

Rotium has been used in more than 12,000 rotator cuff cases. It withstands moisture and suturing without wear, wicks biology at the repair site and is a cost-effective product.
