Kris Alden, MD, PhD; Eric Carson, MD; Constance Chu, MD; Regis O’Keefe, MD, PhD, and Scott Rodeo, MD, are among 11 founding members of the board, according to a July 27 news release. The board will provide expertise on Mimedx’s micronized dehydrated Human Amnion Chorion Membrane injectable pipeline.
“Working in collaboration with these industry and academic pioneers strengthens our ability to rapidly accelerate scientific innovation, expand our therapeutic potential across multiple indications and further our vision to advance regenerative science and innovative biologics that restore quality of life for patients in need of safe and effective treatment options,” CEO Timothy Wright said in the release.
Mimedx focuses on placental biologics and is developing placental tissue allografts. Its products are aimed at treating degenerative musculoskeletal conditions.
